What insurances do you accept?
We are currently working towards credentialing with multiple insurance companies. We can provide Superbills for those with insurance companies that we do not currently contract with. Insurance companies vary in their benefits for out-of-network providers. Please contact your insurance prior to making an appointment to ensure you know how much you can be reimbursed for services.
Please note Dr. Hegewald is not a contracted provider of Medicare or Medicaid at this time.
What are your fees for services?
Fees range based on services provided during a visit. We do offer a discount for payment at the time of service. Please contact us for details.
What conditions do you treat?
Dr. Hegewald's clinical focus includes mood and anxiety disorders including the following: Major Depressive Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder, Persistent Depressive Disorder, as well as Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD).
He also treats conditions including Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Bipolar Disorder, and Binge Eating Disorder.
How long is an appointment?
Initial intakes are 90 minutes. Follow up appointments vary from 30 to 60 minutes depending on services provided.
Do you offer in person appointments?
Dr. Hegewald is currently only practicing virtually. He provides services to patients located within the states of Oregon and Washington only.
What is integrative psychiatry?
Integrative psychiatry combines conventional psychiatric care with evidence-based lifestyle, nutritional, and mind-body approaches to support whole-person mental health. In addition to medication management and psychotherapy, integrative psychiatry may incorporate sleep optimization, nutrition, exercise, mindfulness practices, supplements, and complementary therapies tailored to each patient’s unique needs and goals.
What age ranges do you see?
Dr. Hegewald is trained in adult psychiatry and treats patients ages 17 and up.
Can you provide services to patients anywhere?
Dr. Hegewald is licensed in the states of Oregon and soon to be Washington. In order to provide services to patients they must be located within Oregon or Washington at the time of the visit.
What is your late/missed appointment policy?
We require 48 hours notice for schedule changes or cancellations. Appointments canceled with less than 48 hours notice are considered a late cancellation. Any change in less than that amount of time, or missed appointments may result in a late fee of $150. Your are responsible for paying the fee prior to scheduling your next appointment. This strictly enforced policy allows us to meet the high demand for services.
